AMAZING MUSEUM TRIP!!!

Kia Ora Bloggers!

On Thursday the 17th of November the middle syndicate went to the Auckland museum and we did so many cool activities.

First we went to the volcano room where some people told us about different types of volcano explosions. I saw real Obsidian in the room.

Then we went to a room that had a fake volcano everybody saw a room that was shaking like it was an earthquake. When we went in there we were watching fake news about Rangitoto volcano exploding and when Rangitoto exploded  in the fake news the room was shaking like there was an earthquake.

Last we had to write places where we haven’t been in Auckland and where we want to go.

Athletics Day

HOWDY PARTNER!

On Monday it was Athletics Day at school and it was so fun. We had activities like high jump, long jump, shot put and sprints. My favourite was sprints because I came first two times but the third time Gabriel won. I want to get better at running so I can be the fastest boy in school.

WAKA!

HOWDY PARTNER!

Yisrael, Noah, Bella and I designed and created a waka. We used Popsicle sticks and a hot glue gun. How do you think it turned out?

My Koru Art

Howdy!

This is my Koru art,we used warm and cool color to color it. First we used warm colors, then we used cool colors. In the middle we used a dark color then a lighter version of it,then we started fading it to make it 3D and we finished. How does it look?

Narrative Writing

 Malo e lelei

We have been learning about narrative writing. We read about Ruby’s missing teddy bear this Monday, and we put them in order. First orientation then setting after that characters names after the problem. Then the characters’ feelings  and resolution. Have you ever done narrative writing before?

Lego Tower Challenge!

Kia Ora

We made Lego towers because we are looking at Earthquakes in Inquiry so we made stable Lego towers to try if will they fall or not.

But my group’s first one fell and our second one didn’t fall because it was wider and not taller.

If we made it taller it would lose balance and fall. Why don’t you try to create an Earthquake-proof design!

Cook Island Week’s Cool Activity.

Kia Ora

We were making patterns out of paper first we chose 2 different colors then choose one of the color paper, then we made a triangle then we made a smaller triangle, you get a scissors then cut out some patterns and open the triangle. You’ll see cool patterns and glue that pattern square to the other square that has no patterns.
